Traveling is an adventure, no matter the length of time. I love to schedule adventures with our family, whether it is a day, weekend, or week trip, all are equally exciting. And can’t everyone use a little good excitement in their lives?
To me, planning is just as much fun as the adventure itself. Sometimes it is the best way to dream when you are unable to travel. Making plans for future adventures, even if you don’t have a date in mind.
Traveling can transform our everyday lives by allowing us to experience new cultures, finding new ways of understanding ourselves, and a just a better appreciation for our lives. And just making us genuinely happier. I know when we return home from one of our simple adventures, we always feel a renewed sense of self and find more joy in the day-to-day moments of our lives. We come back fired up and ready to conquer anything!
Just the act of traveling creates lifelong, happy memories that we treasure, and love to revisit by looking at our photos and memories collected during our adventures. During the pandemic we all were confined to our homes and not able to travel. So, what did we do, we took walks in our neighborhood and made it an adventure. We also planned for our next adventures, the large ones and the short ones and that made us happy by giving us something to look forward to.
So whenever you are feeling sad and down, just plan a simple adventure.
